Highlights of April 30 (Wed), 2008
Luncheon, Meet and Greet
Pacific Beach Hotel, Waikiki

Wednesday's luncheon speaker was Mr. Ken Kawahara, Deputy Director of the Hawaii State Department of Land and Natural Resources. Ken gave an interesting presentation entitled "Ke Kahuwai Pono - The Trustee Who Oversees the Rightful Sharing of Water". He also announced the launching of the upgraded State Commission on Water Resource Management website at http://hawaii.gov/dlnr/cwrm/.

After the luncheon, attendees were able to choose from 3 concurrent sessions of technical presentations. The day ended with the traditional meet and greet social event in the exhibits area. Attendees were able to socialize with one another and enjoy the refreshments, pupus, and door prizes.
