2007 AWWA HI CONFERENCE >> Highlights of May 25 (Fri), 2007 Several morning sessions were scheduled on the last day of the conference. The AWWA Hawaii Section held its annual breakfast Board Meeting. The first annual Top Ops competion, chaired by Earl Ichimura, involved a "College Bowl" type of competition which tests the everyday know-how of water treatment operators, with questions approved by the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC). Here are the results of this year’s contest: lst Place - Navy-Marine 2nd Place - Aqua Engineers 3rd Place - Pural Water Specialty Co. The AWWA Hawaii Section general membership meeting, chaired by 2007 - 2008 AWWA Hawaii Section Chair Elson Gushiken, closed out the conference. Attendees had a choice of 2 afternoon events: either a field trip tour of a robotic inspection and cleaning of the Navy Red Hill Water Storage Tank, or the 2007 Water for People Golf Tournament benefit golf fundraiser held at the Coral Creek Golf Course Below are images from the 33rd Annual AWWA Hawaii Section Conference.
